Guide for broken Rackets 01

This method is very time-consuming, but more durable than Guide br. Rackets 02.

Required material:

  • Carbon tape.
  • cast resin / hardener

Glue the broken place with 2 component glues and wait until it is harden.

Karbonband - Badmintontraining auf www.badminton-tips.de
Cut the carbon tape in red line. The length should tower above approx. 5 string holes. In the middle of the tape is the point of fracture.
Paint the carbon tape with pouring resin / hardener and wrap it crosswise over the broken frame. Allow approx. 30 min. to harden.

Karbonband - Badmintontraining auf www.badminton-tips.deCut the carbon tape in red line.
Paint the carbon tape with pouring resin / hardener and wrap it lengthwise on the point of fracture. Allow approx. 30 min. to harden.

Ösenlöcher - Badmintontraining auf www.badminton-tips.deBore with 1.5 - 2.0 mm of steel drill new holes (not bigger).

Attention:
It is very important to stick the carbon tape once crosswise and once along to raise the stability!!!

Before restring it should harden approx. one day completely.
You can adapt colour (nail varnish) to the racket.

Isa, repair by bamboo has been done before. Watch this video

A nice alternative to my steel nails, but I will continue to use them.
I can bend them individually to the shape of the racquet, which also remains after stringing. Bamboo is not much lighter than steel in that small quantity, so i see no advantage.

I don't have any nails to fix it. But I use bamboo sticks to fill the inside of the frame instead.

I hope for you, that it will work.
Please let us know.

My Z-force II is broken just like yours. I don't have any nails to fix it. But I use bamboo sticks to fill the inside of the frame instead. They are lighter than steel. I will see if it can hold any tension after the glue drys. Thanks.

vat is the tension dat can be given to racket after the 3rd or any process.....¿????

11 kg is the strongest i tryed.
If you need more and string with manual machine (not electronic), i think 13 kg ist possible.

Ralf

Could you provide the details of the asian repair guy.

No, i don´t rember, cause i do it my own (cheap) way.

I met a guy who claims to melt and mend racquets (don't know thAre e detailed process) , but he takes guarantee that mended portions woulnt break after repairing.

If it is not too expensive, than just try it.
I don´t know that method.

Bye, Ralf

Are you familiar with carbonizing of a broken graphite racquet. I met a guy who claims to melt and mend racquets (don't know the detailed process) , but he takes guarantee that mended portions woulnt break after repairing.

Is it possible to repair such an racquet professionally apart from the above three methods ?

A few years ago I saw a link to a dealer (I believe in Asia). Included shipping costs and restringing, it is too expensive compared to a new racket.
